Resolution Authorizing Participation in 2026 New Jersey Department of Community Affairs Local Recreation Improvement Grant

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Committee of the Township of Fredon, County of Sussex, State of New Jersey, that the Township hereby authorizes the submission of an application to the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs for funding assistance through the FY 2026 Local Recreation Improvement Grant Program for the Lodestar Park Improvement Initiative; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Township certifies that Lodestar Park is municipally owned and dedicated to public recreational use; that all proposed improvements constitute a public purpose pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:12-15 and related statutes; and that the facilities will remain open and accessible to the general public without restriction; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Township of Fredon agrees to provide all required matching funds and in-kind contributions, to assume full responsibility for maintenance and operation of all improvements upon completion, and to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Township Clerk are hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this application and any subsequent grant agreement.
