RESOLUTION APPOINTING NICHOLAS SUGAR TO THE POSITION OF CDL TRUCK DRIVER/LABORER

WHEREAS, the Township Committee of the Township of Fredon (“Township”) seeks to fill the position of CDL Truck Driver/Laborer; and

WHEREAS, at its regular meeting held on April 22, 2026, the Township Committee discussed and approved extending an offer of employment to Mr. Nicholas Sugar for the position of CDL Truck Driver/Laborer; and

WHEREAS, the Township Committee finds Mr. Sugar to be qualified and suitable for the position and desires to memorialize the terms and conditions of this offer; and

WHEREAS, the offer of employment includes a start date of May 11, 2026, with onboarding to be coordinated through the Township Clerk, and compensation and conditions as set forth herein and in the attached offer letter and supporting documents.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Committee of the Township of Fredon, County of Sussex, State of New Jersey, as follows:

1. Title Transition. Mr. Sugar’s initial title shall be CDL Truck Driver/Laborer at a rate of $25.00/hour. At the conclusion of the 90-day probationary period, Mr. Sugar’s ability to perform the duties of Equipment Operator/Truckdriver shall be evaluated. If such evaluation is satisfactory, Mr. Sugar shall be appointed to the title of Equipment Operator/Truckdriver at a rate of $26.00/hour.
2. Probationary Period. New employees are hired subject to a three-month probationary period. Mr. Sugar’s appointment shall be subject to this standard probationary period, during which his performance and suitability for continued employment shall be evaluated pursuant to Township policies and procedures.
3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
