Appointing Temporary Acting DPW Foreman and Wage Adjustment

WHEREAS, the governing body recognizes the need for leadership within the Department of Public Works (DPW) and wishes to appoint an Acting Foreman on a temporary basis to ensure continuity of operations until a permanent Foreman is hired; and
WHEREAS, Albert Harvery has demonstrated the qualifications and experience necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of Acting DPW Foreman; and
WHEREAS, the governing body has determined that a wage adjustment is appropriate for the additional responsibilities associated with this position;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, upon motion made at the Special Meeting held on December 29, 2025, that the governing body hereby appoints Albert Harvery as Acting DPW Foreman, effective December 18, 2025; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Albert Harvery’s hourly wage shall be increased by $4.00 per hour, retroactive to December 18, 2025; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this temporary appointment shall remain in effect only until a permanent Foreman is hired or until further action by the governing body, at which time the wage may be adjusted.
