Appointing Insurance Agents

WHEREAS, the Township Committee of the Township of Fredon utilizes local insurance agents to provide insurance coverage on behalf of the municipality; and

WHEREAS, said insurance services will be needed for calendar year 2026; and

WHEREAS, Gallagher Insurance agrees to comply with the requirements of Exhibit A attached; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Committee of the Township of Fredon that Gallagher Insurance is hereby named as agent of record effective January 1, 2026 for the following insurance policies as well as Risk Management Consultant:

a) Property, General Liability, Inland Marine Equipment, Business Automobile, Crime – Employee Dishonesty N.J.S.A. 40A:10-36
b) Excess Umbrella Liability
c) Bonds for Tax Collector, Treasurer & CFO
d) Public Officials Liability
e) Workman’s’ Compensation

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above named insurance agents are appointed to provide insurance services without competitive bidding as “professional services” in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(1)(a) of the Local Public Contracts Law, because the services to be provided are of a nature requiring specific professional skills and knowledge; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a notice of this action shall be published at: https://www.fredonnj.gov/home/pages/legal-notices

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a Resolution passed by the Fredon Township Committee at a Reorganization Meeting of that body held on January 7, 2026.
