CAPITAL ORDINANCE 2026-09

Ordinance Providing for a Supplemental Appropriation in Part to Capital Ordinance Number 2026-07 From Township of Fredon General Capital Fund Capital Improvement Fund for Milling and Paving of Van Horn Road Section I to Appropriate an Additional $25,000.00 for Supplemental Expenditures

TOWNSHIP OF FREDON

WHEREAS, the Township of Fredon, in the County of Sussex, New Jersey, adopted Capital Ordinance No. 2026-07, which included the appropriation of $144,652.00 from the NJDOT Fiscal Year 2026 Trust Fund Grant/Municipal Aid Program and $32,000.00 from the Township of Fredon General Capital Improvement Fund for the Milling and Paving of Van Horn Road Section I; and

WHEREAS, the Township has determined that the costs for said improvement is higher than anticipated; and

WHEREAS, the Township has determined that the $176,652.00 authorized by Capital Ordinance No. 2026-07 is inadequate and desires to increase such appropriation by $25,000.00 to an aggregate amount of $201,652.00.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Committee of the Township of Fredon, in the County of Sussex, State of New Jersey (not less than two-thirds of all members thereof affirmatively concurring) as follows:

Section 1. The additional $25,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Capital Improvement Fund.

Section 2. This capital ordinance shall take effect immediately after final adoption.

CERTIFICATION
TAKE NOTICE that the foregoing ordinance, Ordinance 2026 – 09 , was introduced and approved at first reading at a meeting of the Fredon Township Committee, County of Sussex, State of New Jersey, held on September 9, 2026 and that said Capital Ordinance will be further considered for final passage at a meeting of the Township Committee beginning at 7:00 p.m. on September 23, 2026 at the Fredon Municipal Building, 443 Route 94, in the Township of Fredon, at which time and place all persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning said Capital Ordinance and during the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting, copies of said ordinance will be made available at the Township Clerk’s Office to the members of the general public who shall request the same.
