VOLUNTEER DAY Lodestar Park

Fredon Township is partnering with Ridge and Valley Conservancy this fall to keep the trails at Lodestar Park healthy, beautiful, and welcoming for everyone who enjoys them.

FREDON TOWNSHIP & RIDGE AND VALLEY CONSERVANCY TEAM UP TO KEEP LODESTAR PARK TRAILS BEAUTIFUL

Fredon Township is partnering with Ridge and Valley Conservancy this fall to keep the trails at Lodestar Park healthy, beautiful, and welcoming for everyone who enjoys them.

As part of this effort — funded in part by the Sussex County Trails Grant Program — the community is invited to join two Volunteer Days at Lodestar Park to help remove invasive plant species and learn about promoting healthy local ecosystems:

Thursday, October 15 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Saturday, October 31 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

No experience necessary — just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to get outside! Volunteers will work alongside Township staff and Ridge and Valley Conservancy to clear invasive species that crowd out native plants, helping the park’s trails stay clear, scenic, and ecologically healthy for years to come.

Parking will be available at the Fredon Civic Center, 436 Route 94.

Come be part of keeping Lodestar Park beautiful — we hope to see you on the trails!
