Bulk Pickup
Place items curbside the night before the scheduled pick-up date.
Important Details:
- Items must be placed curbside the night before the scheduled pick-up date.
- Pick-up begins at 5:00 AM.
- Bulk pick-up is NOT handled by your regular garbage hauler. Do not assume missed garbage means bulk pick-up hasn’t occurred.
Acceptable Items:
- Interior household bulk items such as stoves, refrigerators, furniture, carpets, outdoor furniture, etc.
NOT Accepted:
- Normal household garbage, bagged garbage, building materials, construction debris, tires, or whole‑house clean‑outs.
- If it fits in a garbage bag or garbage can, it is NOT bulk.
Prohibited Items (Electronic Waste):
The following items are banned under the NJ Electronic Waste Management Act and will not be collected:
- Televisions • Monitors • Computers & laptops • Printers • Fax machines • Copiers
These items must be recycled through:
- SCMUA Collection Programs (scale charges apply)
- Scheduled free annual recycling events
- NJ manufacturers and retailers
