The Building / Construction Department for Fredon is run by the NJ State Department of Community Affairs (DCA). See the DCA website
The DCA provides inspection and permitting services at the Fredon municipal building on a scheduled basis.
Inspections are scheduled ONLY using the online portal

Inspections must be scheduled online only — not by phone
Inspection Request Checklist
Clearly printed on your official approved permit paperwork
Full street address or block and lot number
Identify the subcode and exact phase required (e.g., Footing, Rough, Final)
Building Electrical Plumbing Fire Mechanical
Gate codes, lockbox combinations, or on-site contact details needed for inspector access
Permit Payment Requirements
Permits must be paid by check only
Checks payable to: Treasurer, State of New Jersey
Property taxes must be current before a permit can be issued
